Terms of Service
Overview / Acceptance
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of thomasunise.com (the "Site"), operated by Thomas Unise, an independent enterprise AI consultant. By visiting or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
These Terms are written for a small consulting practice's marketing site and are provided for general information — they are not legal advice, and they don't create a consulting or professional-services relationship on their own.
Use of This Site
The Site is provided to share information about my work, background, and services, and to give you a way to get in touch. You agree to use the Site lawfully and not to:
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site or its underlying systems.
- Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or overload the Site in a way that disrupts normal operation.
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Use the Site to transmit malware, spam, or any unlawful, harassing, or abusive content.
Intellectual Property
All content on this Site — including text, graphics, logos, design, and code — is owned by me, Thomas Unise, or used with permission, and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. You may view and share pages of this Site for personal, non-commercial reference, but you may not copy, reproduce, republish, or create derivative works from the Site's content without my prior written permission.
No Professional Advice
The content on this Site — articles, service descriptions, case studies, and similar material — is provided for general informational purposes only. It's meant to describe my approach and experience, not to serve as consulting, technical, legal, financial, or other professional advice for your specific situation. Nothing on this Site should be relied upon as a substitute for a formal engagement in which I can evaluate your actual systems, data, and requirements.
Engagements & Separate Agreements
Any actual consulting work — advisory, implementation, or otherwise — is governed exclusively by a separate written agreement (such as a statement of work or services agreement) signed by both parties. That agreement, not this Site, will set out the scope, deliverables, fees, timelines, confidentiality terms, and other obligations for the engagement. Nothing on this Site constitutes an offer to enter into a consulting relationship, and browsing the Site or contacting me does not create one.
Third-Party Links
This Site may link to third-party websites (for example, LinkedIn or other social platforms) for your convenience. I don't control those sites and am not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Visiting a linked site is at your own discretion and risk, and I'd encourage you to review that site's own terms and privacy policy.
Disclaimers & "As Is"
The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied — including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. I don't warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Site — even if I've been advised of the possibility of such damages. This limitation doesn't apply to obligations set out in a separate signed consulting agreement, which will govern liability for that engagement.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold me harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your misuse of the Site or your violation of these Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Minnesota.
Changes to These Terms
I may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the Site, my practice, or applicable law. The "Last updated" date below reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
